fan belt, air con belt, timing belt could also be tensioner for belt

Pound to a penny it's a sliiping drive belt to the alternator. If the screeching is worse with full lights and demister fan going it's a giveaway as there is more loading on the alternator. There's nothing visual to see so it's difficult to identify for sure.

What type of noise? I know you say a screech but can you be more specific?

Some starters can start to screech after startup but that would be more synonymous with certain old VW's and the like rather than Hondas of that generation, which had very reliable starters.

il have to wait till the morning to get a video as only happens mostly when its cold , its a honda integra ,its not constant it does it for about 1-2 seconds when the ignition is turning, and its a loud kind of screech/hiss right before the car cranks up :)

Common issue with aux belts this time of year.

Happened on a Yaris, alternator belt was worn and brittle.

Drop in air temp, effects old worn belts, half hour to change it.

    No more squealing :)
