    hi,
I have the above dress. the shape does suit me at all. I'm plus size and top heavy. If I got a v or square neck put into it would it ruin the dress. the pleats aren't great on me either but might look better if there was a different neck.
any opinions and suggestions would be great thanks

That link isn't working for me, so is this the dress? (sorry for the huge picture, I had to get it through Google and that's the only one I could find quickly.)

If it doesn't suit you, would you not just return it? It's not like it's just a bit tight or something - you're saying that both the top and bottom half of the dress don't work. So I'd just return it or sell it on because changing it to the degree that you suggest is going to cost about as much as the dress did in the first place.

Link doesn't work, maybe try to embed the pic?

Tbh what you're suggesting sounds like throwing good money after bad- the alterations won't be cheap and there's no guarantee that it would turn out looking in any way decent. Try fifties/fit-flare style dresses to flatter your shape. Modcloth is great for plus size.

    yes that's the dress.

dress was free. the material is gorgeous so was hoping to do something with it to suit me.

Take it to a tailor and they will tailor it right for your body type.
