Have the myfitnesspal app and was wondering how do people know how much calories are in the food they eat? is there somewhere you can calculate the calories count in the food you eat?

What do you do with the app? That's precisely what the app does? Search for a food and it will tell you its calorific properties.

    Have you tried using it?

    1. Home Page

    2. Add to Diary

    3. Breakfast

    4. Search for a food (write in banana or whatever)

    5. Pick a banana from the list

    Done

And if you can't find it in there, you can create your own foods. Just fill in the details from the nutrition panel on whatever it is you're entering.
Pretty rare you'll need to do this but useful if you make your own energy/protein bars etc.

Edit: nm, you found it :)

or you can also scan the barcode of the food (if it comes pre-packaged) and it will add it for you
