    Hi,

Does anyone know of a shop/deli/grocers that sells wild mushrooms in North Dublin? Preferably Swords or Malahide areas.

I would usually go to Fallon and Byrne as they always have a good selection of different shrooms but I can't make it into town today.

Supervalu do a pack but its fairly mediocre in terms of variety.

Ideally I'm looking for King Bolet.

Did you try JC's Supermarket in Swords? They usually have a good selection of locally produced fruit and veg. You could ring and ask them.

Good idea but I've been in JC's a few times and I don't recall ever seeing wild mushrooms. But worth a shot I suppose :)

Don't know if this is any help but the farmer's market is on in Howth today. You could email them and ask if they have your mushers..

good time of the year to get them wild if you go down to the woods today! However, best to be really sure if they are safe to eat - there are foragers courses on the go at the moment. I saw a quote in the papers, 'you can eat all mushrooms you find, but some only once'. There's a bunch coming up in my back garden, but I am not taking the risk
