I received info on this and thought I'd post it up here. Not sure on the exact route but the bear bones of the info is:

    From Daniel Cowman,
Chairman - The Friends of Marymount

The 2014 Christmas Cracker Cycle on Sat. Dec. 6th next. This annual event will start and finish at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice at Curraheen, Cork. It sees cyclists of all ages and experience levels unite to do something really great at the start of the festive season. Participants complete in their preferred choice of a 6km mini cracker, a 65km midi cracker or an 85km maxi cracker.

All participants are urged to wear something festive and/or add some Christmas decorations to their bikes. They are also asked to make a donation to the beneficiaries, Marymount University Hospital & Hospice and LauraLynn Children’s Hospice. Moreover, volunteers leverage the event with street collections in towns along the route. ALL donations and collected monies go to the beneficiaries.

Participants can take off at their own pace and effectively race around their choice of route or they can join any of the mini pelotons which will pace around the routes at more moderate speeds. These options make it an ideal training spin for clubs as well as a great sportive for leisure cyclists. Lunch is optional and vouchers can be purchased for 10 euro at registration. Registration will open at 8:15am on Sat. Dec. 6th and the mini-cracker will set off at 9:30am while the midi and maxi cracker cycles will set off at 10am. Free parking is available at Curraheen. Stewards/Marshalls will help guide participants and back-up vehicles will provide support throughout the day. There will be prizes for best costume and best club as well as a free raffle for all entrants. Prizes will be presented after the cycle and free festive refreshments will also be served.

The Christmas Cracker Cycle raises much needed funds for hospices while entertaining the public who respond very positively to the visual spectacle which the event has now become. I'll be very grateful if you'll participate and I appeal to you to please encourage others to join us.

Super cycle, I always consider this my first cycle for next year, there's always a great buzz on the day, some pretty mad get ups on the cyclists and the bikes, and plenty of encouragement from everyone along the route. Smashing food stop and a good spread awaits everyone back at marymount, first mince pies of the year :-) The route is very do- able, a hilly middle section but otherwise you can roll along at a handy pace.
If you go to Facebook and search for Christmas Cracker Cycle 2013 you will find route maps and pics from last years cycle,

No cards you make a donation when you arrive on the day. There are usually tables set up in the main reception area. Hot drinks are served as well.
