The price of the standard Dart/Commuter Rail Only ticket is increasing to €1420.

This marks a 30% increase since August 2012.

The price of the ticket is now more expensive than purchasing a daily return ticket when you exlude Annual Leave, Bank Holidays and the odd cycle/run to work days during the better weather days.

It's likely that all fares will increase from January - the annual fare determination reports are due to be published by the NTA anytime now.

All the Taxsaver increase information is on their site, probably by accident. : http://www.taxsaver.ie/News/test/

Until single fares increase. One goes up, they all go up.

A free travel pass costs the same as it always has and it let's you travel the entire country!

Get your hands on one of those. One million holders can't be wrong!

I have the bus and rail one... Went from €1,420 to €1,560 and now €1,710. In the space of a year. People are just going to start driving to work more which is bad news for everyone. Decreased services, increased delays/issues and a continuous increase in prices. It's mental!
