Taxing van without doe cert

Bought a van a couple of weeks back, tax expires end of this month.
Van is doe'd till next May, I have the disc,but previous owner has misplaced the cert.
Would the tax office accept the disc as proof of doe.

Afaik their computers tell them if the van is Doe'd/cvrt so you don't need the cert anymore since the cvrt system came in. I could be wrong on it though but I'm fairly sure hopefully someone can clarify it.

the test center where it was tested can print off a pass statement for u if needs be. as said its on the computer system when u go to tax it so not sure u need the pass statement.....

it normally takes about an hour to go on the tax office's system after the vehicle has been tested.
