So we are in the middle of buying house. Havent signed final contracts but deposits are paid and now its in our solicitors hands.
Passed the house today and it has been vandalised. Front gates pulled from wall side gate kicked in so unsure if they have actually got in through windows in back or not. They are young kids and its only because the house has been empty for ages.
What should/could we do? Its not ours as nothing is signed but we really don't want to have to deal with the house being thrashed and the contents which are to be included in the sale. Should we ring estate agent? She wont be in office until monday and god knows what will have happened between now amd then.
Any advise would be great. Tia

You should ask to view the property again and assess the damage. Put a price on fixing it, and then reduce your offer by that much.

Then tell them to secure the property appropriately
