Air in 2 radiators

    I have 12 radiators in a 2 storey house.
    5 downstairs and 7 upstairs.
2 of my radaitors upstairs keep letting air in. Nearly once a week I have to bleed them

Its an open vented system I have

    What would be causing this?

    More than likely a leak

    Or pitching ?

Expansion pipe to low and it's pumping water up the expanision pipe and its adding air when it falls into the tank = air in rads.

    Change pipe work in attic.

How can the expansion pipe be too low? As in its tapped off the base of the tank or are ya on about the vent scudo?

    Expansion is the vent pipe.
Pipe off the base of the tank is cold feed.

    Both will allow for expansion.

    To OP.
Expansion pipe is what we (down here) call the big pipe that loops over the top of the tank. If it's to low it can cause water to pump up it and adding air to the system when that water falls back into the tank.
Normal sign if that is corrosion on the end of the expansion pipe, otherwise called a vent pipe by posh plumbers !

Ah scudo ya may go back to the books. The "cold feed" is the expansion, full stop. The pipe that goes over the top is the open vent.

If the water level in the expansion tank was too high would this cause air in the rads?
Just thinking if the ballcock in the tank was not set right then when expansion occurs water flows out through the drain.
What level should water be in expansion tank when cold?
When expansion occurs how much is level increased?
