Job Interview- Christmas Work Carphone Warehouse

Hi everyone! First time poster here, excuse my foolishness if you've already been inundated with posts like that but I just wanted to give it a go when I didn't find anything with a search!

So essentially i've gotten an interview for Christmas work in Carphone Warehouse. I've never had an official interview before, as a student I just did temporary jobs that cropped up in the college etc. so this will be my first official one.

I'm just wondering does anyone have any idea what they might ask / expect of an individual looking for Christmas work? I'm extremely communicative, optimistic, hardworking and quite tech-savvy and have read the personal description for the job and I think personally I would be a good fit for the opening.

I was contacted today and gave the days / weeks I was free and was asked to come in for interview next week.

So excuse the ridiculous amounts of texts, just looking for a do's/do not's list if anyone has any experience with Carphone warehouse interviews / what to wear / any questions to expect in this position or similar roles!

Can't say I've ever had an interview with Carphone Warehouse but I worked in retail for 4+ years, the majority being in Xtravision so similar"ish" to CW.

What to wear (if you're a male) - shirt, slacks and shoes, maybe through in a tie. Blouse, etc... of you're a female.


Questions to expect - retail interviewers love examples!

How do you deal with difficult customers and past examples
How would you approach a customer and past examples
Examples of working in a team

They might get you to mock sell a phone, always try to upsell to the customer. If a customer comes in to buy a phone, try upsell them a phone cover, etc... with the phone.
