Looking for some help, living in Allenwood Co. Kildare, we have had an efibre cabinet installed in the village less than 100yds from my house, the village has never had any phone based broadband, I spoke to eircom this morning and they say the cabinet is now active, but I am connected to an RSU on the opposite side of the road. Should this normally be updated at the same time or are we just not getting it.

I'm on o2 mifi at the moment and it's passable but has stupidly low caps and I've been hit a few times for going over the cap, I'd just like to know what to expect as if it's not coming ill switch to tesco and get a higher cap for less, but it's a contract.

If the cab is ready for orders and you cant get it then you'll need to wait for them to completely replace the RSU with a DSLAM+AXE one. Don't hold your breath.
