Hi and apologies if this is in the wrong place.

Firstly, I am not musically gifted. But I am planning on using a style of musical charades in a voluntary setting with some young adults with learning disabilities.

We have a fair few percussion instruments, and I would like to see them being used instead of just sat there. So im going to try a never mind the buzzcocks style game, with tambourines, bongos, shakers etc.. (its all adaptable, and if they enjoy it, we may bring mime and humming into it)

I am putting together a list of songs they will easily identify and know. But i am finding it quite hard. I do not know much recent music. I have some queen, white stripes, beyonce and of course the chicken song. Btw, they love one direction. I guess im gonna have to listen to one or two songs aren't I? Drat.

Anyway, some suggestions would be great.

    Thanks for reading.

    A behind the times 30something.
