Moto G connection issues

Hey guys having issues connecting my moto g to my computer.
Getting message on my phone saying it has been mounted as an external device but it is not showing up in my computer. I have tried using the cable supplied as well as the cable off my htc desire x.
I am running windows 7 64 bit never had any issues connecting the htc desire when it still turned on.
Any suggestions.

you might have to download motorola driver manager

sorry that's Motorola device manager manager for moto g it will update your drivers on the phone

You have turned on USB debugging on the phone?
I'm pretty sure that otherwise it just connects as a data device - then again I've a Moto X so maybe it works differently.

Try Airdroid, install App on Android...

just follow on-screen instructions on device and Laptop.

ensure your Wifi ison and working.....

You should install the Motorola Device Manager s/w, if you want to install drivers, etc for your device...
