Are you looking at other sellers to see if there's better deals with Super Saver options?

Most people here recommend hardwareversand.de. I bought all the components for my first build on that.

Used Komplett.ie back in '07 I think it was. I've long since moved to the states, but I remember being pleased with their prices, speed of shipping etc.

Buy all components from the above and you'll pay about €12 shipping in total. Search for each component through skinflint.com.uk/eu and go to hardwareversand.de to get a further discount.

Komplett was since sold to someone, and the service has dropped. hardwareversand.de is now the site mainly used, and I find it easier to navigate and compare stuff compared to Komplett does.

Amazon UK + Parcel Motel is also a good combination. A lot of Amazon items feature free or cheap shipping in the UK - for those items, you can use Parcel Motel to get it delivered to the Republic of Ireland for a small fee.

Maplins on Jervis Street is a shop that you can walk into, but they usually have only a limited selection of what you can buy. Elara.ie have a shop in Park West, but you have to order, and collect when it arrives into the shop (or have it delivered).

Maplins are also in Blanchardstown too. When I was there they seemed to have a fairly decent range of components, but nothing like what you would get online.

You can get a €10 discount code too, might only work on your first order though.

You would most likely be paying the oversize charge and have to pick up the parcel in their depot. If you go for this option, make sure they will all be packaged in the one box because the €3.95 charges will rack up quite quickly if you have a load of separate parcels coming in.

I've used eurieka.ie a lot, I'd used Dabs but they took payment for a PSU they didn't have in stock (the website said otherwise at the time of order) and left me hanging a month before telling me they wouldn't be getting them back. Eurieka are great as there not far from me so I can collect and when my new GPU stopped working they replaced it the next day.

I doubt their value is as good as harwaversand but I like buying from somewhere in Ireland. Reckon I wouldn't of got the same speedy replacement from a foreign company.

I used dabs there a while back and they sent an order as 2 different parcels one of them arrived from UK. There wasn't much of a difference in price compared to hardwareversand

Have used them myself in the past. Think they source their stuff from the same warehouse as Elara?

Never heard of Eurieka before. Awful website. Trying to filter through GPU's is a nightmare. Not having a basic filter like AMD/Nvidia which can then be filtered by model number is ridiculous.

It is a terrible website, even worse if you look at it on your phone.

Amazon have free shipping to Ireland if you spend more than £25. Just make sure the item is dispatched by Amazon.

You know any way to do this? Do I order them together or something? Sorry not very experienced

I'm not sure because I've never ordered pc components through Amazon or parcel motel. I got my pc through hardwareversand and if I am to go by what they did for me, there was 3 boxes. All 3 would be "oversized" by parcel motels standards and would cost you 7 euro per parcel. In total it would have come to 21 euro and you would have had to collect it from their warehouse down by TV3.

If you order all of the components from Amazon and not different retailers on Amazon, then it will come in 2-4 boxes.

No. It depends on the individual retailers in that case I believe. Also if they're all from different people then that means that each component is going to cost you 3.95 + what ever the retailer is going to charge you for uk shipping. It should tell you what they charge for uk shipping when you're looking at the item.

I would suggest anybody considering custompc.ie to search this forum first for any mentions of them, and then decide for yourselves whether you want to purchase off them

Wow... Wasn't expecting that. Seems like they're a no go.

I suppose with parts it's ok but from what I have read, their builds are pretty shocking, they're way over priced and their customer service is pretty poor if there's any problems.

Very overpriced (at least on builds) and bad support, but they're not scam artists.

Made a few purchases in the last couple of weeks, and have had good experiences with Dabs and Parcel Motel. Dabs prices were among the lowest, good selection, and their delivery charge was very cheap (€4.48 for over 20kg of equipment in three large boxes).

Used Parcel Motel when ordering a laptop from Amazon.de. It wasn't the cheapest, but their tracking is very good, and they have optional insurance of €7 for items up to €1000, which was a relief.
