I'm a professionally qualified classical musician considering becoming a listed adjudicator.

How much does a classical music adjudicator get paid per hour? per day? in for example a Feis such as Feis Ceoil? sometimes 2 - 3 days?

Has anyone been one? how does it work?
    Any other requirements? expectations?

    Thanks! :)

How do you mean a 'listed' adjudicator?

From the adjudication I've done, usually it doesn't pay very well--a token amount for a day's work (I've been given between €100 and €150 for a day). The Feis Ceoil is a different matter--I don't know how much the adjudicators are paid but no doubt a reasonable hourly rate (though not a huge amount).

I am considering registering with the British and international federation of festivals, but only if it would be worthwhile! They aren't very willing to pass any information to someone who is not currently a member unfortunately, but thank you for your response, it gives me food for thought anyway! :-)

I really quite like adjudicating, but it's definitely the sort of thing only worth doing if you really like it as it won't make you rich. :-)
