Anyone know what Forests/Forest's in Grafton Street was in 1916? A shop? Some other kind of business?

Poplin (silk/wool woven textile) was still made in Dublin until the 1990s or so. Huguenot weavers came over and settled in the Tenters and made it there.

There's also a candle makers in Dublin, still trading, which dates from the 1200s, and of which Cathal Brugha was once proprietor. Sadly, they've neglected the opportunity to produce Cathal Brugha Flaming Firebrand Candles for the Home.
