House share new place

I am currently living in a really nice place with good transport links and I get on with my house mates. But recently the landlord has given us notice that we need to be out of the house soon. I was happy enough to find another place with my current house mates.

Anyway we viewed a place (further out from town, really nice area but not exactly where a guy in his 20s wants to live) recently while its okay I not totally gone on it but the other guys wanted it so we put down an offer and it got accepted. We haven't signed any contract or anything yet I am stuck on what to do.

I know first hand experience how hard it is to find a place at the moment as I was looking just over 6 months ago for a while before I found my current place.

I told the guys (separately) if I move job (which I am planning to do soon) I may want to move closer to town. One of them said to me if I am having second thoughts they can try and find someone else or I can move with them and start looking for somewhere else.

The new place will cost me over 500 a month then my cycle to work has doubled and getting into town will take longer. I kinda feel I can get somewhere better for that money.

I am completely torn on what to do I can either do nothing put my name on the contract, move in then try and find somewhere else to live once I do I then try and find someone to take me over. Say to the guys now that I don't want to live there and spend the next two weeks trying to find a somewhere else and if I don't crash with my sisters place and commute from my parents (2 hours door to door).

Sure move in and look for somewhere else. Just be up front with them

    Yep.

Good house mates can be hard to find.if they're willing to let your in on the place until you figure out your next move it should suit everyone.
You might even find the extra commute bearable trade-off...
