    Hi

Anyone know why the search results on youtube via horizon tv are extermely limited.

When you run a search for the same thing via the internet it will return much more.

Example...I was looking for pitchfork music festival and all I received via horizon tv was peoples phone recordings :(

via internet on my laptop > main result > youtube.com/watch?v=e1DkfphhRFw

via youtube on the horizon tv > lots like this and couldnt find the above link atall > youtube.com/watch?v=0uBUUriXH_E

Found the same on a YouTube addon for XBMC. I think it's basically because there is probably a very simple search string in the code with a limit on the returned results. Search string is probably simply 'most recent' and the limit on returned results is because the are catering for the lowest common denominator with regard to the Tv's people are viewing on. Ie. an SD or even 720p tv can only fit a small number of results without the user needling to scroll for ages. No such filtering or screen real estate limitations on the web version.

    sounds feasible Claibos, thanks

although I tried entering the exact criteria within the youtube app on my TV ie: Slowdive perform "Golden Hair" - Pitchfork Music Festival 2014
it still couldnt find the exact link: youtube.com/watch?v=e1DkfphhRFw which is more recent than some of the results

Ive tried a few different searches for different things and most return sh*tty results compared to a search via the internet.

    any ideas?
