Shipping a Phone from the USA

    Hi there,

    I received an invite for the One Plus One phone today. However, they only ship to the US, UK and other EU countries. I'd have to use Parcel Motel if I wanted to get it shipped to Ireland, but that would mean paying the UK price which is quite a bit more than the price in dollars.

    I have relatives in the US who I could have it shipped to and they could send it on to Ireland. I was wondering if anyone knew how much that would cost and if I would have to pay VAT for receiving the phone from the US.

    Basically, will I make the saving having it shipped from America or is it better to just use Parcel Motel.

    You could use USPS, UPS, DHL etc., You will have to pay customs when it get into Ireland. You can calculate how much it will be here also you will need to add handling fees from courier starting from €6 can go up to about €15
