Money transfer ireland to uk accounts

Hi all, I have a question. I transfered money from my irish bank acc to my Uk account . it shows up taken from my account on the 08th oct but hasnt arrived in my uk account yet. is this normal? how long should i wait for this money to appear in my account? thanks
