Hoping to do the Dublin - Clonakilty double. Just 40 days apart so wondering about the feasibility of doing so and what level of training inbetween. As you've guessed I am the wrong side of fifty, Dublin will be my third marathon. Last year did Connemara (3.46) and Clonakilty (3.34). Hoping to break 3.30 in Dublin and hopefully shave a little off last year's Clonakilty time. Any thoughts welcome

There will be plenty of runners doing the same and a few will even include another marathon in Sixmilebridge in the middle, so it's definitely doable.

Just make sure you put your emphasis on recovery after Dublin. Your base fitness will be high after the first marathon and you won't need much training in-between, just keep ticking over.
