    Hello all,

I have a client who has Eircom fibre.

It is losing connection at 1pm every day, without fail.

EEircom have not been able to fix the issue.

Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

The customer is only just able to get fibre, around 800-1000 meters from the cab.

Is there anything with an electrical motor kicking in at 1pm? Such as heating, large freezers etc.

I have thought of the same thing.......

I cant find anything locally but then it's a long line and it could be anywhere.

No one else near them has efibre so I can't determine if it's a problem within the building or outside.

The 1Pm regular cut-off certainly suggests a mechanical/artificial source, rather than just random noise on the line. In other cases I've seen it was a device on a timer with a mechanical motor, as they give off broad sprectrum EM noise, which a long line will be even more susceptible to.

How long does it go down for? It's altogether possible that the issue is the router doing a renegotiate of the DHCP lease, and for some reason, it fails to complete the process.

If it's only down for a short while, it's making the new connect, it sounds like it's struggling to do so, and there will be no connectivity while that is happening.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Does the WiFi connection drop or the actual router's DSL connection drop?
