Anybody know anything about the GS rosslare being sold?

I'm being told lots of rumours about it being sold for €150,000 and tuskar house being sold for €90,000 to Eddie stobart. The sign now has sale agreed on it but I can't seem to find any detailed information as to whether or not it is true.

Anyone hearing any other rumours about it.

ROSSLARE Harbour and south Wexford has received a huge boost with the news that two former hotels and a landmark golf club, all of them in receivership, have been sold.

Wexford auctioneer Claude Howlin said an Irish-based developer had bought the old Great Southern Hotel and the Tuskar House Hotel, at Rosslare Harbour, while St. Helen's Bay Golf Club had been sold to a consortium of players, holiday home owners and 'other interests'.

News of the three major sales follows the announcement that a German cruise liner capable of carrying 850 passengers is to visit the harbour next August, the first to do so in 20 years.

Both hotels have been in a state of ruin for some time, although the golf club has been continuing to operate since going into receivership in 2013. 'It's great news and will certainly give Rosslare Harbour a major facelift,' said Mr. Howlin.

The auctioneer said he was not in a position to make any detailed remarks about the sale of the hotels because at this stage the sale had not been completed.

'There is sale agreed on both premises. The next stage is to get both properties completed and then obviously the future development is down to the purchaser.'

Mr. Howlin would not be drawn on whether the adjoining hotels could become a nursing home, although there was a previous planning permission on the Great Southern for just this purpose.

'The developer will certainly have imminent plans for the properties. It's very positive news and hopefully will be completed shortly,' he said.
