Rubbed it off a pebble dash pillar this morning. The scrapes aren't very deep at all and there are no real dents to speak of. Roughly what should I expect to pay for it?

    Cheers.

If you post some pics taken in daylight, you might have a higher probability of getting replies.

If you run your nail over the dents, can you feel a groove when you hit the dents?

If it is only the door that is damaged, a cost-effective solution might be to fit a replacement door (in the same colour) from a breaker.

The colour may not match 100%, due to variability of exposure over the years. If so, a good detailing of the exterior would go a long way to rectifying this.

ps If going this route, and you want to get the cheapest good door, don't say what colour you need. Ask what colour they have. When you find a breaker who has your desired colour, say aw and ask them how much it might cost to have it resprayed to match your car (have a 'fake' colour in mind). Result: different quote! :D

For such small damage I'd go the repainting route. There can be four or five different shades of the same color so trying to get the perfect door from a breaker mightn't be so easy.

Also I don't get the last part of your post?

    Fair point.

What I meant was that ringing a breaker and asking for the required colour might result in the breaker asking for a higher price. Not specifying what colour you want (if the breaker actually has that colour), and then being 'meh... I'll have to have it resprayed; how much for it anyway?'. This might not work for a door, but I have seen it reduce the price asked for multiple panels by almost 50%...

You'll get it resprayed for €130-150 if you know where to go.
