Seems the dear leader may be in trouble,

Many people are now doubting the earlier reports of health scares.

    Could he have been toppled?

    Could he have been toppled?

I imagine that his toppling would have been quite hilarious.

    Could he have been toppled?

Last report i read he had double ankle surgeries after straining both them while wearing Cuban heels.

Something is definitely amiss he's vanished from public and there was a surprise high level meeting Between Nk No2 in command and ministers in the south

He was grand when we were out drinking on Saturday in town. He can be a dick when he gets drunk though.

    Could he have been toppled?

Unconfirmed reports that he's been fatally crushed by a giant cheeseburger.

A rushed visit to the south might indicate that the soft little fat kid ain't well...

Might be bad to say, but if it takes the death of that little social cripple to open up that Stone Age hell hole, so be it...

The official line was that he had gout. He hasn't been seen for more than a month. Whilst gout is a serious condition, I can't see that preventing him from fulfilling some of his public engagements at least. Rumours going around that he has been ousted by some of the old guard.

Those who are reported to have removed him from his position are seniors in his father's regime, so I can't imagine that that will result in N. Korea being opened up, sadly. N. Korea opening up means death or war crime charges for those involved in the regime.

Kim Jong-Un did another no show at an important event last night. There was a ceremony for the 69th anniversary of the Workers' Party of North Korea and he didn't show. His name wasn't even on the list of attendees.

The little fat man is probably stone dead. I can imagine generals running around his palace like headless chickens wondering wtf they are going to do next and who the next big cheese is going to be.

Earlier in the week, NK's number 2,3&4 most senior politicians/officials turned up in South Korea to meet with their counterparts. But at the same time, if Kim had been disposed, there would have been a gradual but marked reduction in references to him in NK media which apparently isn't the case.

But he must be laid up in a hospital in a bad way at the very least.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Get immunity in early in negotiations and they're grand.

Wild speculation....China offers then asylum if they oust him, reunification desirable by the south for sentimental patriotic reasons, desirable by the north for obvious reasons, desirable by the Chinese because it'll economically cripple their economic completion for a couple of decades like it did west Germany. Everyone's a winner.

Apparently he is just a puppet for the same small group of families that have run north Korea for generations. Hence he has been gone a month and nothing has actually changed. They just want to keep the status quo to keep rolling in money. And if the replace him it will be with an identical tool, so still no freedom for the unfortunate people.

So some lady professor was saying on the radio this morning anyway.

He's definitely a puppet given his age and complete lack of experience prior to succeeding his father as leader, senior members in the Politburo of the Workers Party control the country. (Made up of these powerful families)

Un was thrown into the position because all of his older siblings had fallen out of favour.
