06 Navara head gasket.

Looks like the head gasket is goosed in my Navara. All the usual symptoms.

Anyone have any experience of this. Is it a straightforward gasket job or cracked head?
    Expense?

Can you describe the symptoms on your particular car?
    Temp, mayo, smoke, coolant etc?

    Engine model?

    2.5L diesel new type 06.
Temp is fine but coolant level dropping, and lots of white smoke.

Is it always smoking, or mainly when it's cold (start up)? Does smoke smell sweet?

Check for mayo/gunk under oil cap.

It's more likely to be a cracked head than just a head gasket failure unfortunately.

You could try steel seal in it but it will probably only buy you some time.

Would it be easy to repair? What kind of money for a new head?
