Interesting piece from Quora and picked up on by chess.com and a few other places by now - someone wanted to know what the odds of any individual chess piece surviving a match were. So someone went and wrote a quick program, fed it a few million games of chess (aren't publicly-available large chess game archives great?)…

Interesting that black's king pawn has a better chance of surviving that white's!
