    Hey all,

I really need advice on what to do here. I feel like Im caught between a rock and a hard place. Ive gone back to college as a mature student this year. Ive sold my car and moved back home with my mother to reduce costs. I left my job in december 2013, call it contructive dismissal. I was pretty much ran out of the place after 5 years, signed on and applied to college in february. Thankfully I got in, I applied to BTEA after speaking with my local social welfare office and was told all was grand. Now Ive gotten a letter back off the social saying I dont qualify coz Im 15 days short. Has anyone heard of exceptions being made? Im looking for work absolutely everywhere but just keep getting refusal letters. What do I do? If I leave now Id have to pay all the fees for first year if I reregister when I qualify for btea.

    Any advice is appreciated

    Hi OP

    That sounds a rotten situation.

I wonder though if you'd get more focused advice in the State Benefits forum. There are people there who know.

If you do, report your post and ask a Mod to move it.

    All the best
