Rear mudguard advice

    Hi All,

I'm new to this cycling thing after a 20 year break and I've purchased a second hand Giant mountain bike that I am slowly getting back into road worthy condition.
With the typical Irish weather about to make a comeback, I'm going to have to invest in a suitable rear mudguard. I was going to put an offer in on this but on closer inspection, It appears to be the same type of "clip-on" bracket that's already on my bike. Now maybe mine is just worn out but everytime I hit any kind of a bump the latch opens and it falls off. I see they had similar ones in Aldi yesterday and I was half tempted but I decided to ask y'all first which is best. I will be passing Argos and Halfords today if there's any recommendations out there.

    Thanks

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ie/en/mudguards?f=2258 Have a scan down through this page for a suitable one - some are sold in pairs (front & rear).

I would get full length one with the stays. Mine don't but I've used cable ties to secure it to the rack. The front one though gets knocked out of position all the time, its a real pain. Do you have eyelets on the fort and rear stay to screw mudguards into?
