There's 2 benches and 7 power racks... 9 places to barbell bench press.

Any decent gym will be busy then anyway.

theres lots more racks in flyfit after recent renovations, still gets busy though but its a lot better (but who knows maybe more will join and it will be as bad or worse than before). trinity gym is impossible to train at, much worse in my opinion. maldron hotel is quiet, but equipment is pretty dated. I think they'll give you a free session if you ask.

that's funny cos I did actually write to complain b4 the renovation about all the squat racks being used up by people bench pressing:) one or two more bench press stations would go a long way even now. the massive success of flyefit there has got to show there's the market for another gym or two in the area, maybe a bit more specialised like raw etc... I would pay more to know I never had to queue as I hate it myself, macken st was incredible a year ago when you had the whole place to yourself, but since the start of this year it's been really busy

you might actually find maldron ok, wouldn't be a lot of people using the free weights the times I've been there, plenty of cast iron weights at least, think there's a full set of dumbells, best to try it out one day or get a tour. it's a bit more expensive but you're paying for having a pool/ they also do a card of 20 visits which I think worked out about 12 euro a visit, easy way to try it for a while and decide if you like it without the risk of a contract. don't know about spencer at all.

I don't mean it like that my girlfriend uses the gym also it's just every rack would have a girls squatting in groups of 4 and spend the whole time there an hour more and it's not exactly like I can say can I jump in stack another 100 odd kg on the bar and strip it down whey time I do 15 reps or so. I would be delighted if every female squatted its great to see so many now days in fitness it's just not ideal when your working off a program or preparing for comp or doing rehab on certain muscle that's all I mean mate nothing against them using the racks at all but if I stood doing cable flyes for an hour on the one machine they have plenty of people would come over and complain to me about it, sorry if offended you or anyone didn't mean it as such ok
