What is it with Today FMs fascination with rugby? Thanks for the warning Neris its Tubs for me tomorrow.............

Sure why would any radio station have any interest in speaking to one of Irelands greatest ever sportsmen on the day before his Autobiography hits the shelves? Clane mad for rugby they are in there, so they are!

Just heard an ad during last word that Ray has Brian ODriscoll in for an interview tomorrow about his new book. Hope Jenny sends Ray off with enough kleenex so he can mop up the drool when BODs in the studio but then again Ray might tell BOD how rugby should be really played and how he should have the played the game. Rays an expert as everyone knows as he played a bit of rugby in his time

He's at home now preparing for the interview.

    Kneeling down.

Can't believe he's giving an interview to D'Arcy. It'll be cringe stuff as Ray tries to pretend he knows about rugby.

One of the things that most annoys me about the small fry is his immaturity. Imagine my shock when I heard an ad for his show the other day actually using the fact that he can't help himself if there's some innuendo as a selling point. Here he is laughing his little head off because he said Uranus and this is apparently a reason why we should tune in! I hate the scrote.

In fairness to Ray getting BOD on is a big deal it's one of the only times I'd be agreeing with Ray in that we have an absolute world class legend in our midst. Even though Ray did play a bit of rugby too and could've been better than BOD if he stuck at it ;)

    .

He has been on the Ray D'arcy show numerous times, plus the fact he has high listening figures. So what do you expect him to on the day before his book launch?

Pat Kenny or Sean ORourke at that time of the day

Is it such a big deal getting bod? I mean wouldn't bod be whoring that book anywhere he can?

I totally understand why Brian O Driscoll is on with Darcy seeing as he has a book out. My point being that there seems to be a rugby player on the show every other week. Darcy is clueless dismissive and quite patronising of other sports but seems awestruck by rugby. I guess it fits quite nicely though with the rest of his personal agenda driven show.

fine BOD is a good interview to have but ickle Ray will just gush over him and have to be restrained from leaping across the table to grab him...the " I played a bit of blah blah blah myself" line will no doubt be lashed out for old times sake. And listen how amazed he will be that a living legend/Adonis actually managed to get locked up in a drunk tank in New York but yet keep it quiet...feck it I think i'll give it a listen just to see am I proved right.

He was talking last week about new stamps which feature retro video game characters. He asked the question "has there ever been stamps featuring our greatest sports people, like Sonia O Sullivan and Brian O Driscoll?".

A runner and a rugby player were the only "great sportspeople" that came to his mind.

Which kind of sums up his knowledge of and attitude to sport for me.

He is a guest presenter (getting paid) on Off the Ball. I would have assumed he kind of owed them the first interview:confused:

Ok I'm taking bets. He will definitely mention his children, running/fitness and his rugby playing days in the bod interview

Ray stayed up til quarter to 12 last night reading the book.

That is the BIG story of this interview. Everything else is incidental.

who wrote this book Ray or Bod.....he's literally finishing his sentences!

Fresh tissues for Ray urgently required!
Also maybe he should ask Janet from Love Hate for a loan of her towel.

Love BoD but kinda glad I'm missing this. Sounds like a textbook Arsey interview.

Ray needs to go home and have a good look at himself. Crying over a letter that BODs Da wrote to BOD...FFS sake...BOD himself seemed perplexed by it all.

He's crying? Maybe he's reading the latest JNLR figures instead.

Are u seriousl? The man has a hormonal imbalance, I've been telling you all this for ages. What an absolute muppet of a man. Actually do u know what, I dunno why I'm even surprised. He's an embarrassment.

Ha, somebody messaged to ask if Brian knew that Ray played Rugby. O'Driscoll's reaction was priceless.

Just listening to it now. Ray is in total awe.
I doubt Robbie Keane or Roy Keane would get the same treatment. They'd be subjected to the usual patronising nonsense from D'Arcy.

Ya but I'm sure that Ray wouldnt be too bothered if his kids were friends with Robbie Keanes kids but imagine if Kate and Tom were friends with Sadie and the unborn baby, its would be, OMG, toots amazeballs
