    Hi All,

As a single 30 something lady I'm toying with joining a matchmaking agency as I've had little or no success with dating - online or otherwise.

    Any advice/recommendations/warnings?

    Cheers!

There is thread on the subject here and people were not positive about them. I don't know any more though.

Would you consider heading to Lisdoonvarna for the weekend? The matchmaking runs until October 6th (-:

One of my good friends met her now husband through a dating agency. This was 5 years ago now. I suppose it depends on the agency but she's very glad she did and they are so well suited. I'm not sure if if spend a huge amount of money on it but if you ended up meeting your true love, then it'd be money well spent.

Just an fyi on Lisdoonvarna which was suggested here....this weekend is the lgbt weekend. I've spent the last two weekends in Lisdoon...on business, not for matchmaking... and tbh, I'm not sure how successful you would be. Great craic and all that, but you'd definitely need to be with a group and not pinning all your hopes on meeting mr right.
