Im single mother i live in bettystown and work in dublin i receive a reduced rate OPFP and FIS, i am finding it really difficult organising childcare as although i'm only working 23.5 hours a week it is spread out over 5 days and then i have to add travel time on top it

Iv spoken to my manager about changing my hours to no avail, my sister has offered to move in with me to help with childcare but she is on jobseekers benefit my question is will either or both of us be cut?

If your sister is minding your children she is not available for work.

Be available for and genuinely seeking work

Well she would obviously still look for work and i would just be in the same situation as before when she finds a job, its really just a short term solution as i'm on the verge of quitting my job the hours are so out of my means

Once she is looking for work and on JSB ( as opposed to JSA) she would not be cut .Was she working up until she lost her job? If she is on means tested JSA then your wages may be taken as means depending on her age.
