HGV ban in Dublin lifted this evening

Sounds like the ban was lifted to alleviate traffic due to a fire on one of the arterial routes. Take care on the spin home!

An articulated truck carrying bails of hay straw (apparently there's a difference, thanks WA ) went on fire on the M50 Northbound at J6 (Blanchardstown) this afternoon just before 4pm. The M50 Northbound at J6 is closed as I post and it could be a few more hours before it reopens.

Traffic was nuts this evening - M50 NB backed up for over 10km so I suppose it makes sense to lift the HGV ban given the circumstance.
