Why arn't more farmers advertising livestock on Adverts website instead of donedeal. It's free if you don't sell, People can make bids and ask questions on the livestock. The seller can accept or refuse. And you can leave feedback on a seller and buyer so to iliminate the timewasters. And can build a reputation. I think more farmers should be using this site.

Because the last time I checked lads wanted to swap toasters for cars and all that type nonsense. Not saying timewasters aren't on DD but they get to ask their questions for free on adverts.

Donedeal has established itself as the principle selling website in Ireland.

The very strengths you mention, are also its biggest weakness. Fellows bidding, seller accepting, and then buyer drops off the radar. Also, very easy to fall foul of the rules regarding the procedure, and getting a black mark, or ban.

Was looking for a new bike recently, and it can take ages for a seller to get back to you, or even confirm if the item is still for sale or not, cause some other lad had bid on it and not yet paid etc.

Do you really think it will work here? TBH I doubt it - as we are touchy feely, hands on, see them in the flesh buyers.
In America/South America and places where on line sales are the norm they do not have to contend with different types of systems/breed types like we have here.
In fairness, not a fair comparison.
