I got a letter saying I now needed to send in sick certs monthly instead of weekly. How does that work? I normally get paid 2 days after I put in cert but the letter states next cert needed is 14th October so will I not be paid until then?

You'll continue to get paid weekly (usually Thursday).

The only difference for you now is you'll submit your MC2 cert every four weeks.

Make sure that the dates cover you for every four weeks & not every month so as you'll get PRSI credits for each week, but your GP/their secretary should know the drill.

Great thanks. I normally got paid on Thursdays anyway so hopefully no change. Much rather be back at work though :-/
