Pretty sure this can be used in conjunction with the 25% off 6 bottles of wine. Think the 25% only gets taken off at delivery / collection.

Does a new email address still count one as a new customer?

yep. Combined these two deals result in ultra cheap alcohol (for ireland at least)

Do you just need to buy over 60 euros worth of wine then?

it won't give me the option of adding wine to the basket, ive said loads of times i'm not wasting time with tesco again, so i'm gonna take my own advise this time

6 bottles worth €80 I'd imagine minus the 25% minus the €20...so €40 for €80 worth of wine delivered to your door?

Could be the slot you booked. It will not let you have alcohol in the morning before 10am or the 9-11pm slot.

The 6 bottles of wine deal does that register on the site? Do they have to be 6 of the same?

How does that work? Do they give you a refund at the door?

You aren't charged until collection/delivery because the goods might vary. When you enter your card details it's just an authorisation

Do tesco not stock any Xbox one games?

Depending on your address used, you'll get different stock. So my address I couldn't get much but my folks address had plenty of ps4/x1 games

Just wondering on this, might stock up on some wine. Would I have to have the order coming to €60 before the 25 % is applied on the wine or after?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 395 ✭✭barneyrub

Actually can't see any mention of 25%offer on wine on the site. Has it finished?

Used this last time it was around and figured if someone else in the house registered it would be good to use again but our address is no longer available to register an account at anymore. Anyone have this problem?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,682 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver

The 25% off wine ends today i think. Got it this morning. Thankfully wife got SuperValu vouchers from some baby mailing so got 15 euro off all the wine after 25%

    Hi all,

Typically, when do they deliver? As in, with myself and the OH working long-ish hours during the day, do they deliver at nighttime or at weekends?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53 ✭✭saladtime

    Having a bit of trouble.

My basket inc delivery totals €65
Below it the €20 coupon comes in and reduces it to €45 on screen

But when I go to pay the Verify by Visa box says €65!

    Anybody know why?

    Thanks guys

You choose a slot for them to deliver. Some are taken already or have a higher price.

You dont pay till all your items are picked and checked out in the morning of the day you want it delivered. The Visa verification is simply a security check.

The deductions will then come off your bill at check out assuming they are still valid for the day you want it.

    See this post.

Basically, your address determines what stock is available to you

Trying to register a new account to get this offer and it keeps saying it can't be registered at this time. Anyone know if its a site issue or because the address has been used already?

As a driver. We have been told to take back the shopping and report it, if we think customers are fraudulently using the promotion.

    Its easy to spot.

Although if a person is registering a partner or spouse I continue as normal.

Hmm, its saying there is something wrong with my addess. For some reason when I was selecting it it was marked as a business address. Hopefully it isnt too difficult to sort.

In that case, just phone them. They will look into it.

    .

    How?

Also, what if you order 60 euro, get 20 off and then some of the items cant be delivered. Do you still get the 20 off??

    With standard eyesight.
    Yes.

Its easy to spot because the driver and the manager will be notified on the manifest and the receipt that it is a first time customer they are dealing with. If they have been to the same address before and dealt with the same person then he/she will know.
We also check the receipt payment details on each delivery as to be ready for questions or returns.

Yes there is usually no problem there. If there is a problem, the driver will highlight it with his manager when he gets back.
There may be instances if you ordered a game worth 50 euro and 10 euros worth of groceries, then problems may arise with the checkout computer and the discount. But these problems are rare.

Ive given up on the main stores even with discounts except for an emergency.

I got an order the other week and was able to get 10 extra food items in lidl yesterday for €30 cheaper.

My bill was 54 items €88 in lidl compared to 45 items for €117.

I'd really question the driver thinking they can take an order back. What lengths are you prepared to go to apart from calling a customer a liar when they say its their first time ordering?

A driver told me that an asterix comes up beside your name and address on your receipt to indicate to them if you were a first time customer. One driver came to me 2 weeks in a row and wondered why it had an asterix the 2nd time as he was with me the week before. I shrugged my shoulders! This was earlier this year.

Dont get me wrong James Wet Snorer. You should question the driver if it did happen.
It does not happen often, but if I delivered to a home twice a week or more for a couple weeks, with each delivery a new customer, its fair to say they are taking advantage of it.

I dont speak for Tesco by the way. These opinions are my own.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,298 ✭✭✭McSween

    here is what it says:

    P477Y9L492M8 - RXXHA44: Expires 31/10/2014
€20 off On Your First Shop When You Spend €80
Your order has not qualified to redeem this eCoupon.

Never work for me these things.

Eh, insert the code in post #1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,298 ✭✭✭McSween

:o Apologies that is correct and it takes the amount off but when I am asked by my bank to put in password the full amount (€66) is being sought for payment.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 31,117 ✭✭✭✭snubbleste

Well then just do that. Contact customer service after delivery and demand the discount.
All this assumes you are a 'new' customer.
