    So I got a job interview :-)
But I have a question, this will be the 3rd time I have worked in this work place. The last two times where also xmas work which my contract ended on the 23rd of December.

I am assuming that this would also be xmas work.

I was told that if you are called back by a job and offered a 3rd contract is must be a permanent contract. .... is this true?

I think that applies if there is no break in contract which wouldn't apply here.

No. Have a read of this, notably the bit on Renewal of fixed-term contracts.

    Told by who?

It's possible that this is a company policy, not a law.
