Courier company between Greece/Ireland?

    Hi,
I need to arrange a courier to collect something in Athens (Greece) and deliver it to Ireland. The weight of the package is probably about 1kg and the dimensions are the size of a shoe box. I don’t have a set date yet but it would be next week at the earliest. I’ve done some Googling for companies that operate in both countries (and have websites in English, ha ha) and have found DHL, FedEx, and UPS etc. but the rough quotations they’re giving me are a bit of a shock – between €70 and €200 ish. I don’t deal with couriers that often so I don’t know if this is a standard rate or what I should be expecting here.
Would anyone know what price I could expect to pay here and recommend a company I could go with?
    Cheers

Could the person in Greece not just send it via the local postal system with a track and trace? - That would be by far the cheapest way.

Ideally you want a parcel service rather than a courier service.

DHL/Fedex are specialist air couriers and charge a premium for a premium service.

GLS / DPD and other parcel delivery companies offer a road service and would be a lot cheaper - not sure though if they will do a single collection.
