    If an interested party is not named on home insurance does the insurance policy still stand ?

    Yes, noting an interested party only means that claims cheques will be made in the joint names of the policyholder and the interested party. It also imposes certain conditions on the insurer that they will notify the interested party in the event of cancellation or material alteration and offers them an indemnity if they get it wrong.

    In short, the policy benefits are not affected by the interested party not being noted.
