I'm waiting for new stock to arrive, they'll be €15 each plus p&p.

    Official Euronotes website:
It is very easy to check a euro banknote of either series by using the simple FEEL, LOOK and TILT method.

It's even more similar to the €50! Absurd that they could have such a small denomination so close in appearance to a fifty!

I wonder why they need to change?

To keep ahead of the counterfeiters, all their new stock is now useless.

One reason is in prepartion for Bulgaria to replace their currency with the Euro. The new notes have "EBPO" on them which is EURO in Bulgarian Cyrillic.

The 20s cover more ground for sure, ever try a 50?

I'd love to see but I can't afford to buy one.

None of my notes have "Specimen" written on them.

    Are they all fake?

I'm running low on red ink. And I'm nearly out of toilet roll.

Indeed it doesn't but they are.

I suppose we should be grateful that it's still a tenner. Given the way things are now, I'd not have been surprised if they'd changed it to a 9 euro note. It could cut inflation at a stroke, all those 9.99 prices would have to have come down to 8.99. Easy

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

The notes are getting even more wishy-washy and nebulously European.

We need more stern mullet heads and nice calligraphy on them like the old Series B Punt notes.

    Looks nothing like the €50

Another denomination that parking machines wont take. Yay. (The parking machine in Arnotts in Dublin won't take the new fivers far as I remember, neither will the one in Dun Laoighre)

Self service checkouts will need to be recalibrated for these just like the new fiver notes the last time.

I detest and loathe those tills with the hatred usually reserved for Nissan Micra drivers and rapists.

Ah you're right, burn all the cash, we can just use cards for everything.

If you're trying to save time by using the automatic checkouts then don't waste everyone else's by faffing about with crumpled up banknotes.

That would be quite counter intuitive considering inflation is in check ans we're almost straddling a deflationary period across The Eurozone

€5 note replaced in 2013, €10 2014, €20 will be 2015 and so on up to the €500. I look forward to an annual moanfest.

You cant use a debit card in a lot of parking machines. Pain in the ass, so it is.

Old tenners are now useless folks. You must post them to the government mint. The address is Aug's gaff, 123 Sap Street, Muppet Road, Muppetville. Thanks.

From a purely design standpoint I like this, they have more visual depth to them or something, and I like the slightly aged look to them rather than the pure white on the "First Series".

Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh, my God. It even has a watermark.
