Not bothered with the demo but the quality of the games has me insta buying it anyway.

Watched a few streams looks amazing, the freedom, the views, the sounds, just cant wait to get my hands on the game. I'm tier six on Forza so lots of free cars straight away when I boot up.

I never buy racing games but played this demo and loved it. Will be a likely purchase for me.

I'll be getting an XB1 for Horizon 2 soon, the Forza games have always been great.

I must be the only one that wasn't impressed by the demo!

It looks and sounds brilliant but I wasn't a fan of the 2 races available in the demo, the cross country one and the circuit one. Felt they were very simplified, not much variation to them.

The lack of a thread or talk here had me worried this only looked good to me but glad others are excited about it too, waiting on bundle tomorrow night for Xbox One and FIFA 15 so think this will be my second game :)

Wasn't that overwhelmed with the demo tbh

It looks really great and makes me want to bend over and buy xbox one just for Horizon. One thing that really disappoints me though. 30fps in a racing game is really bad! :(

I am not a snob for Fps, but I hate 30fps in driving games! Fps is really important in driving games.

Is there any driving games on next gen that are 60fps?

I say it was the weather effects and lighting effects for night time driving.

A steady framerate is all I care about.

Horizon is graphically and technically a lot more advanced than forza 5. Forza 5 had cardboard cut outs as crowds so tells you all you need to know. I imagine that's the reason why it's at 30fps as opposed to 60fps for forza 5. Horizon is a beautiful looking game and is much more demanding given it's open world.

Honestly though, who cares if the crowd is cardboard. If you're watching that while playing you're doing it wrong

This single handedly put me off buying Xbox one again and Forza horizon. So now the bare game 60eu then you got VIP pass and Season pass. **** this. At least they had common sense to take out micro transactions...
Looks like I will wait when they will have Forza 5 and Horizon 2 Goty editions and then get xbox one.

€110 for a driving game?!?!?!?!!?!??! A digital download one at that! At least when I paid similar for games in the past I got a stack of stuff to display/read/enjoy beyond just the game itself.

I get what you are saying but games are now moving towards in game purchases etc so buying a bundle at the start can be a good option.

e.g. People pay €60 for FIFA 15 then buy €40 worth of Ultimate Team packs in the first week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,956 ✭✭✭✭Villain

I purchased this and kicked off day one download which is 36.4GB!!!!

I also played demo for first time and it really does look stunning. I played it on 140" screen from HD projector with 7.1 sound system and its the first time I actually thought this is next gen despite owning a PS4 since launch day.

Car packs are a bit salty when they're priced like that though, at least you get a pretty good chunk of content from something like Premium in Battlefield 4 - 16 maps, new gamemodes, weapons, vehicles etc.
i dont know whats involved in the ultimate team stuff so I cant comment on the value of that.

You need to make yourself a account on your xbox one and set it to india and you can buy it in what ever kind of money they use in india and it can say you a lot of money on games in the long run if you won't to buy digital copies of games

I don't mind him at all i think for a racing game he's completely better then anything that has been in need for speed.

As you get more and more into the game he's in it very little anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,955 ✭✭✭rizzla

Finally put the game in tonight. It's excellent. I especially love after it rains, the beads of water on your car, it's just stunning to look at.

Not liking the hand holding, wish the map was opened up to you and you can just pick the championships you wanted to race in straight away.

HMV/Xtravision have now dropped the price of the One version to €45. Might have to pick it up at that price, was considering waiting until after Christmas as I have quite a few expenses coming up.

Really is an excellent game. Much more to do than Forza Horizon (the first) which I absolutely loved. Haven't even touched the online yet but enjoying working around the map and the bucket list objectives in particular.
