    Hi Folks,
I'm about to leave Sky :-(
About to go down the Terrestrial route. Can you recommend an Aerial for me please. I live in the Dublin 15 Area.

    Many thanks,
    Tom.

Check which transmitter covers your location here - http://www.saorview.ie/get-saorview/make-the-switch/coverage-map/

If Kippure is the recommended transmitter a Group T (wideband) aerial is required

Hi Cush - Thanks a million for your speedy reply. Yes - When I put in my address, it comes back with Kippure. Wow - 10 Euro. I was expecting to have to pay much more than that ...

    Thanks again.
    Tom.

Do you plan to install it yourself?

If so, you'll require a way of fixing it to the wall and cabling also.

Hi Cush - Yes was hoping to install myself. Will I need that Black Bracket shown on the site or possibly get away with attaching it in some way to the Down Pipes ??

    Many thanks.

Depends on where the aerial has to be mounted, a mount like this can be used for wall mounting, definitely not the down pipes.

Do I simply mount it at one of the gables of the house, or must it be in a particular direction ? Thanks again ..

It must be installed pointing in the general direction of the recommended transmitter for your location with no nearby obstructions that could block the signal.
