Hey ho.. I have loads and loads and loads of frogs in my garden. It's really cool. I enjoy watching them. Their funny wee yokes. The garden is not a particularly wet garden just a big square lawn grass gets a bit long though as I'm away often. I was just wondering why they are there there's no source of water nearby just my septic tank and they aint breeding there they wouldn't get out. I would love to find the spawn but have no idea where it could be. I'm fairly high up and its quite a humid atmosphere my guess is that's why their thriving. Its great to see so many here all sizes and colours except when I'm cutting the grass sometimes the mower makes a very distinctive noise and i know exactly what it is. :( Today for instance i was cutting the lawn (first time in ages granted) I moved stacks I stopped counting at around 27 odds. So anyone have an idea why they are doing so well here and where their spawn would be? Thanks.

Frogs spend most of their lives out of water and are generally only found in water at mating time.

Funnily enough I was only saying to my wife theother day that I hhaven't seen or heard a frog or toad in ages! I fish a lot around rivers, streams and canals and haven't seen/heard one in a long time, at least 2 years since I've seen one! I've nothing to aid your question, sorry!

Thats great... It could be a good food source as well as the cover thats attracting them. I have them here too around the veg garden and I think it could be the slugs that are attracting them. So I let a few patches go wild for them.

You wont find any spawn until around Febuary time.
