confirmation closure bank account

    I sent two letters to the branch to close my bank account as I am now living abroad. I received no answer about it. I'd like to be sure that my account has been closed. Could you please help me to find it out? Thanks!

    Same happened to me when closing from abroad. I suppose you're not worth wasting a stamp on.

    Welcome to Boards.ie and thanks for contacting us here. 

    To check if your account has been closed, please call Bank of Ireland 365 on 003531 4044000 and our colleagues can check this for you. This phone line is open 8am to midnight Monday to Friday, and 9am to 6pm on weekends.
