Hi, just possibly moving here for college next year and researching the possibilities.

Any of you guys know of mma training in the locality?

I think I may have saw a sign for Straight Blast Gym around Exchequer street, would that be right?
Or perhaps you guys know of any other gyms in the locality.

If I can get straight up wrestling, that'd be great too.

There's SBG on Exchequer Street - they have BJJ, wrestling, striking and MMA classes. For Olympic wrestling the Hercules Club is probably the best in the country and is about twenty minutes walk away on Lurgan Street.

    Cheers man.
Checked out the Hercules Club website.
Seems like a pretty serious outfit, which is great.

As they have bodybuilding there, I'd assume they'd have all the weightlifting gear and punching bags?
Basically I can use it to double up for a fitness gym.

Just out of curiosity, are there any other combat sports gyms or gyms of interest in the area that you know of?

You also have Wild Geese just off Pearce St, they've got a wild selection of martial arts on offer.

    Is that it?

There's a bunch of thai boxing and kickboxing clubs around I'm sure.
Just not familiar with the locations.

    Bridgestone thai boxing etc?
