Free Psychological Services, just have a look, you can save money.

After reading a few posts of a different forums and blogs, about people searching for a good psychologist, especially for their adolescent child, I have decided to tell you how to really save money on all those "good" psychological services.

There is in Cork, one psychologist who works in 2 clinic and takes 135 euros per hour, each time. Some of you may think that the psychologist who charges 135 per hour is much better then this one who works in a HSE. Not at all. They could only be more kind for you, behaving in a very cultural way, and pretending that they put all their attention to your problems. Do not forget, those are people who are skilled in manipulating of other people. Nice smile and innocent appearance, friendly gestures, warm and family atmosphere, those are only one of the tricks they use.
My advice is never tell them too much, just this what is really necessary. Find out what kind of psychologists there are. There are some that specialize in counselling and other that provide evaluation towards recognizing whether there is any kind of mental health problem.

But those are people who basically have the same qualifications. Do not spend your money for a smile. Just ask your GP to for a referral letter. Be sure that in the letter there are all necessary detail included about a real reason to be seen by a psychologist. It should be i.e. someone needs to speak with a psychologist about personal problems or something like that.
    The last thing.
Please always be careful when you deal with any GP or psychologist. Always take copies of your medical notes. Do this from time to time. And you can do this under the Freedom of Information Acts 1997 & 2003, by requesting them in writing. You may get surprised how many times you will find, false, misleading informations there. It might be funny but you will better use a voice recorder just to have evidence later.

This applies both to private as well as HSE public "specialists"

Do not spend money for this what you can get for free.

That's all well and good but will The Corrs be releasing anything new in the near future?

it could be used to enjoy own life instead of supporting others whilst there is no such necessity, but it is only my own opinion.

Considering the waiting list to see someone through the hse in my area is approx 6 months, as opposed to a 2 week wait if I go privately, I'll stick with private. People that are unwell enoughto need ttherapy generally aren't well enough to wait for months and see a different person at each appointment.
