Name on Parchment

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone can advise me on this. I'm registered as my full name including my middle name for NUIG.

I finished my course and passed so will be graduating soon. I was just wondering if it's possible to just get my first and last names on the parchment without my middle name and who I would contact about that?

I'd say registration, or ask SID. They'll at least point you in the right direction.

I think they go by the name on your ID that you gave them when you collected your ID card in 1st year. So if your passport has the name you want to have on your parchment, then perhaps they might be able to change the name you're registered at to that by removing the middle name. I know there was a lot of confusion with registration and names being different to IDs etc so you won't be alone.

As already mentioned, I would say Registration is your best bet.

Not always, my ID or email don't contain my middle name, though Blackboard and registration does, as does my degree parchment. You can't expect consistency from the college.

I know I went into registration to make sure my middle name would be on my degree but that was before SID. I think they've taken over control of name changes now.

Yeah, my ID and Blackboard pages only have my First and last names whereas my transcript and all class lists had my middle name. I'll just have to e-mail and call to ask that it just be what I want.

Believe it or not I actually forgot about it. Have other stuff going on which led to it completely slipping my mind. Thanks for reminding me.
