Total bathroom refit

    Just getting opinions on this quote of €1700 for our bathroom refit. I have only had one guy out but just trying to figure out what is a good price and what isn't.

    1 tradesman

    • Removal of an existing tiles, bath, radiator, wash basin, toilet and other
    • Installation of a moisture boards on studded walls where needed
    • Installation of a 9mm marine ply-wood on the floor
    • Installation of a new low profile shower tray ( 800 x 1000) + shower door in the same position
    • To re-direct the waste pipe
    • Installation of an new electric power shower in the same position as old one is
    • To do a recessed shelf in the shower area
    • Installation of a new toilet in the same position
    • To change the water fed accordingly
    • Installation of a new wall hung wash&basin vanity unit in the same position as old one is
    • To re-direct the pipes accordingly into the wall
    • To do a wooden support inside a wall for basin
    • Installation of a mirror above the wash basin
    • Installation of a heated towel rail positioned as agreed with a client
    • To re-direct the pipes from the floor into the wall
    • Tile & grout walls and floor / (porcelain tiles or similar tiles on the walls and a floor) Floor - 3,5 sq m / including waste Walls - 20 sq m / including waste
    • Installation of an accessories

    Does that include parts or is it just labour?

    Hi there, This is what it includes labour +
    The price include: hiring skip, 1 sheet of 9mm marine ply-wood, floorboards, x3 sheets of moisture boards, polibond, all the plumbing pipes and fittings, all materials needed to do shower shelf and support for wash&basin, sanitary silicone.
    Its 5 days work.

    how do you know what your getting so ? bath, washand, basin & shower could easily be a grand on their own? and are they Chinese prodcuts from B&Q or armitage shanks for example

    did you get samples of tiles etc, what size is the mirror?

    i emphasis with you as when your dealing with things at this scale its hard to expect a guy to cover everything when you haven't given him a spec.

    None of that stuff is included in the price.

    What he has is included is 500 euro tops leaving himself a very nice wage for 5 days work.

    Hi there, Sorry for lack of clarity.
    We have bought the toilet, shower, tiles, shower door, sink,radiator and press separately.
    Everything else is extra. That all cost in and around 2,500. separate to his costs. He has been around to measure up everything.
