My laptop charger stopped working last night. I have found my old laptop charger and i just want to know if the input amp has to be the same?

Here is the details on both chargers

    Current charger
    input 100-240V 1.6 A 50/60 Hz
    output 19.5 V - 3.3 A

    Old charger
    input 100-240V 1.0 A 50/60 Hz
    output 19.5 V 3.3 A

The only difference i can see is the input amp 1.6 vs 1.0

Is there anything else i should be checking?

As long as the output volts is the same, and the output current is the same or greater, you're good to go.
